Yesterday, I went from being so excited because Lindsey tagged me to being terrified! When I got home from work, my front door had been kicked in and my computer, one of my DS's very expensive guitars and some of DH's DVD's had been taken. I cannot even begin to express how violated I feel!! So guess what, I didn't stamp last night. I will not be able to upload any new cards until I get my computer back. I don't have anyway to get them on this computer at work. I hope it doesn't take too long.

Have a great day!

I got tagged! :)

How exciting! My friend, Lindsey (jacksonbelle), tagged me today. What a fun game. So, here are some blogs I have discovered...

and of course, not to make her have to post more links, but you just gotta check out her awesome blog! http://jacksonbelle.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com Thanks, Lindsey!

I hope I get to stamp tonight, and tomorrow night, and Saturday, and ...... I need some new things badly!

Since graduation is coming up really soon, I thought I would post this card I made last year for a girl who was, at that time, a part-time employee where I work. I wish I had distressed the big white layer with orange like the rest of the white pieces, but, oh well. Hindsight and all that! LOL
Anyway, the black is a full 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of SU Basic Black cardstock scored and folded in half. The corners of the SU Only Orange layer were punched with the wrought iron corner punch. I used the Word Window punch and made it longer using the same technique that is shown in post #12 at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124775&highlight=word+window+punch... The star brads and caps are non-SU, I think I got them at Wal-Mart but I'm not sure. I have had them FOREVER! (well, almost) It was just a fun card that isn't all that spectacular, but so appropriate for this time of the year.

Card for my badge holder

I have seen some of the cutest things in "badge holders" lately on Splitcoaststampers.com. I can't remember who posted them, but I had to do one! So, remember the business card that I got for free and stamped on? Well, I wanted to display one on my purse, hoping someone would notice it and ask me about it so I could talk about Stampin' Up! LOL I thought one of those badge holders would be so perfect for that. BUT, I didn't want the blank back of the card to shine if the holder got turned around, which I knew would happen often. So I stamped one of my favorite images EVER, from Long Time Friend with black Stazon ink and colored it with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a blender pen. Then I put the business card and this little card back to back and placed them in a badge holder...tied it up with some ribbon and here it is.
Again, thanks kittie.

Sissy's Workshop

My sister hosted a workshop for me last week. This is one of the cards that I demo'd. I have so much fun doing "kittie747 cards"! She is such a doll for being so willing to help people learn her techniques. One day, I will be 1/10th as good as she is, maybe! (OK, this is my last gush about her. From now on, I will just give her credit when it is due! *grin*)

Anyway, this giraffe of the Bundle of Joy set was stamped with stazon ink and watercolored with Barely Banana and Close To Cocoa ink. Then I masked it and sponged the sky with Bashful Blue and the grass with Certainly Celery. I put a thin line of Barely Banana between the two. I used the fern stamp of the Watercolor Mini set to put some texture in the grass and pulled some "blades" up with the paintbrush. The tab was punched out with the Round Tab Punch and then the sweetheart stamp of the Bundle of Joy set was stamped on it. I love the spiral punch so I had to put something on here with that, and the piece to the left is the only thing I could think of to do.

I hope you like this card. I loved doing it!
